One of Margaret's core services is professional designer handbag cleaning, restoration, and repair. Professional purse cleaning is performed entirely by hand and requires masterful skill and experience.
Unlike garments, purses do not contain a "tag" that tells you what materials it's made of, whether it's colorfast or what type of cleaning they require. Cleaning techniques vary depending on the construction, materials, type, and extent of the soil. Your handbag cleaning specialist must know how to deal with various fabrics, leathers, and suedes. When a handbag is constructed of multiple materials, such as fabric and leather, cleaning techniques are even more challenging. On top of that, numerous types of stains also add to the challenge. A typical shoe repair company or dry cleaner is not equipped to address the varied materials and soil found on most purses.

With over 10 years of experience with all varieties of handbags and degrees of "cleaning challenge," our superior Pulito Purse Service™, cleans and details purses, handbags, travel bags, wallets and even luggage, to restore their original showroom-fresh look and feel.
In addition to cleaning, our services include restoration, repair, conditioning, refinishing, water repellant, sterilization and deodorizing. “Pulito” means “clean” in Italian. Let Margaret’s Pulito Purse Service™ care for your purse next time it needs a face lift!
We also handle repair or replacment of damaged linings, straps, handles or clasps and hardware, through our Nuovo Leather Repair Service.
Cleaning procedures on typical handbags may include all of the following:
- Individual stain removal
- Hand clean the outer surfaces of the bag
- Hand clean the lining
- Hand clean the strap and hardware
- Dye rejuvenation (if applicable)
- Steam finishing
- Stain repellant (if desired)
- Packaging — a custom breathable purse storage bag is included with every order
Restoration of a vintage or damaged purse or luggage may be preferred to replacement. Restoration techniques include extensive cleaning, dying, stitching, and material or hardware replacement.

Do your shoes need new soles or heels, repairs, refinishing, or a complete restoration? With an on-site Master Cobbler, Nuovo Leather Repair service is equipped to repair and restore all types of shoes, purses, garments, luggage, and other leather goods using only the finest materials and finishes. Luggage & Accessories
Margaret's offers personalized and custom services for all your luggage, musical instruments cases, golf bags, ski/snowboard bags, zippers, leather goods & travel accessories.
The more expensive your luggage is, the more likely it is worth quality maintenance and repair. Some less costly bags may be cheaper to replace. The cost also depends on the type of repair. Some things are more expensive to replace or fix than others. An experienced luggage repair technician can revitalize almost any bag.
Margaret's can clean, sterilize, and restore the inside and outside of any bag, fix or replace trolley and carry handles, fix zippers, replace an entire zipper, and change wheels and locks.

Our delivery representatives receive extensive training, enabling them to answer most of the questions you may have about your order. In addition, we give you text and phone access to your driver directly. Your representative also keeps track of your special delivery instructions and preferences. The comprehensive profile we maintain for you makes sure that we’ll always satisfy your dry cleaning and delivery needs.
