Today's leather and suede garments can be characterized as buttersoft, delicate and costly. Margaret's developed its Elegant Leather and Suede Care Service to cater to the special needs of your fine leather and suede garments.
Our Freshening Service maintains your garment throughout the wearing season with delicate hand cleaning, conditioning and finishing. For a heavily soiled garment or at the end of the wearing season, use our Deep Cleaning Service. We clean, rejuvenate the dye, condition, and finish with a light sealant when needed. Leather or suede garments are returned to you in our unique breathable storage and travel bags, another Margaret's exclusive.

Suedes and leathers are the most complex and challenging items to process. Each garment must be carefully assessed for its specific needs and limitations. The natural beauty of the skins brings with it a lack of homogeniety and a level of upredictability that does not exist with most fabrics. Our experts strive to return your garment to as close to its original texture and color as is possible. Our leather and suede care service cleans and details jackets, pants, skirts, and more, to restore their original showroom-fresh look and feel.

Cleaning procedures on typical leather items may include all of the following:
- Individual stain removal
- Gentle cleaning, by hand if necessary
- Hand clean the lining
- Hand clean the hardware
- Dye rejuvenation (if applicable)
- Finishing, which often includes replenishing the natural oils that are depleted in the cleaning process
- Stain repellant (if desired)
- Packaging — a custom breathable garment storage bag is included with every order
- Restoration
Restoration of a leather garment may be preferred to replacement. Restoration techniques include extensive cleaning, dying, stitching, and material or hardware replacement.
